***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***
October 20, 2016–Cottage Grove, MN…The second debate in the race for Minnesota’s Second Congressional District continued to highlight the stark differences between Jason Lewis and Angie Craig.
Lewis continued to share his positive vision for Minnesota – reinterring his commitment to restoring economic prosperity for all of our hardworking citizens and families, protecting social security for our seniors, securing the border and fixing health care.
Craig continues to dodge taking substantive policy positions, instead flinging attacks at Lewis, all of which have been called “misleading” and “out of context” by local news stations. When Craig does take positions, they are out-of-touch with Minnesota’s needs: including expanding Obamacare, open borders that put our national security at risk, not protecting religious liberty, higher taxes for everyone, and new in today’s debate…candidate Craig refused to rule out social security benefit cuts, payroll tax increases, and support for the $1.9 billion SWLRT boondoggle.
Lewis continues to show he is the candidate with the positive vision who be an independent voice for Minnesota in Washington. Lewis will implement the kind of policies that allow us to rise together, creating good paying jobs and restoring prosperity.
