JASON LEWIS WINS COVETED MINNESOTA REPUBLICAN PARTY CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 2 ENDORSEMENT

May 7, 2016

Jason Lewis, the conservative, grassroots candidate for Congress won the coveted, critical endorsement of the Minnesota Republican Party’s Second Congressional District.

Lewis issued the following statement about his endorsement win, “It is with great honor that I received the official endorsement of the CD2 Republican Party today. This was a critical hurdle on the path to defeating radical liberal Angie Craig this fall. The support of the grassroots is necessary to beat Craig and the national Democrat machine that is intent on dividing America. Together, we will challenge and defeat her campaign and its liberal agenda that is unaffordable, unsustainable and wrong for America and for the 2nd district of Minnesota.

In sharp contrast, as your representative I will fight to defend our Constitution, simplify the tax code and reduce taxes on hard working families and small businesses. Together, we will also work to repeal Obamacare and enact true portability, stop the overreach of the EPA, secure our borders, protect the 2nd Amendment, support innocent life and enact fiscally responsible policies that will lift all of our hardworking taxpayers and families up.”

Jason Lewis spent 25 years on the air as a voice in the conservative movement. An active Minnesota resident for two decades, he and his wife Leigh have two young daughters. Jason organized the first annual tax rally that has become a tradition in St. Paul, with thousands gathering to fight to keep more of what they earn. Jason is also an author, public speaker, and started his career as a business owner running Lewis Motor Supply, a small business founded by his grandfather.

Lewis has been endorsed by the Freedom Club, the Powerline Blog, State Senator Dan Hall, State Senator Karin Housley, State Senator Dave Thompson, State Representative Tony Albright, State Representative Steve Drazkowski, State Representative Jon Koznick, State Representative Kathy Lohmer, State Representative Linda Runback, U of MN Board of Regents and former State Representative Laura Brod, South St. Paul Councilman Bill Flatley, former MNGOP Chair Bill Cooper, former candidate for Governor and CEO of Celcuity Brian Sullivan, 2008 national delegate and veteran Chris Andryski, retired Army Captain and Iraq War veteran Jake Duesenberg, U.S. Air Force Veteran Nathan Krogstad and County Commander Ty Sheridan.
