Angie Craig says rural voters “not big thinkers”

Aug 7, 2018

Eagan, MN – Jason Lewis for Congress Campaign Manager Becky Alery released the following statement regarding Farm Fest:

“Congressman Lewis has long supported Minnesota’s ag community. Whether working to repeal the onerous WOTUS rule or making it far easier to pass on the family farm under the Tax Cut & Jobs Act. And, in his first term in Congress, Lewis also helped pass the Farm Bill, preserving the crop insurance program in place, strengthening commodity support programs and reforming the dairy support program —including a boost in funding, especially for small and mid-size operations.

“Tomorrow, Lewis will be detailing more of his farm policy, such as vital reforms to the SNAP program, when he participates in a roundtable with farmers at the Goodhue County Fair, moderated by former Speaker Steve Sviggum.

“Today, however, Angie Craig will be in Morgan, MN – likely dancing around taking any concrete stances on issues, and attempting to spin her opposition to the Farm Bill into something positive.

“I, for one, will be waiting with bated breath to see how she addresses the crowd of rural people her very own campaign called ‘not big thinkers’ just last cycle according to her former volunteer turned opponent Jeff Erdmann.”
