“Everyone likes a good magic trick, and we all know the key to being successful is…distraction.
“Angie Craig is an expert magician asking you to look one way and ignore the slight of hand and deception occurring behind the curtain. Nowhere is that more apparent than Craig and money. Craig relishes in giving the illusion of supporting campaign finance reform while raising record-setting amounts of cash from DC insiders. At a bare minimum, voters want their candidates to be honest with them. If Craig truly wanted to lead by example, she would have signed the ‘the Minnesota Way’ pledge rejecting outside spending by special interests like the Democrat candidate in MN-03 did.
“But what really makes Craig nervous, is that voters do not pay attention to where her money is actually coming from.
“Craig has a history of taking money from the furthest of the far-left and big corporate interests. Whether that is from the elite Soros family, Tom Steyer whose shrill support for electing Democrats like Craig threatens to plunge this country into an impeachment crisis or Kristen Gillibrand who is leading the attempts to abolish ICE, Craig has made it clear she is for sale – as long as you are a radical liberal.
“Not only has abortion on demand advocate Planned Parenthood lined up as a top supporter but so has an extreme group called Population Connection Action Fund (PCAF) which – believe it or not – lobbies for ZERO population growth. This organization has said families with more than two children are guilty of ‘irresponsible breeding’ and should be punished for doing so. Craig’s donors have made it clear their money comes with strings – and those strings would require her to vote according to their radical policies if elected.
“Craig often claims she won’t be beholden to special interests, yet last time around she received more campaign cash from one (her own) industry than any other congressional candidate in the country. And, her actions show that in 2018 she will be beholden to the biggest special interest around – Nancy Pelosi. Just this past week, Craig took a vacation from the campaign trail in Minnesota’s Second District to attend a fundraiser hosted by Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff. One may think this fundraiser is a down payment from Pelosi to buy Craig’s vote for speaker.
“While raking in millions from PACs, special interests and liberal millionaires, Craig also continues her campaign theme of having her cake and eating it too through her support of campaign finance reform. As one of the biggest cheerleaders teaming up with End Citizens United, Craig actions are in direct contrast to everything she says.
“Voters in Minnesota’s Second District are tired of masters of illusion like Angie Craig. They want to get it straight from their representative, and that is what they get with Jason Lewis.”
