Eagan, MN – Jason Lewis for Congress Campaign Manager Becky Alery sent out the following statement on the anniversary of Angie Craig receiving the DFL endorsement:
“While Republicans and Democrats do not seem to agree on much these days, one thing that has united voters across this country is the demand for answers from their candidates and elected officials. Unfortunately, that is something that Angie Craig refuses to acknowledge.
“Typically, when a candidate is endorsed and clears the field, they begin to travel the district to share their message on why they are the best candidate to serve. However, when said candidate is simply handpicked and rubber stamped by the Washington elite like Craig, it should come as no surprise when the message is lacking.
“While Congressman Jason Lewis continues to fulfill his 2016 campaign promises of reining in government overreach, returning control to our states and localities, and getting our economy booming again while vocalizing his plans for his second term in Congress, Craig’s silence is more deafening than before. Unfortunately for voters in the Second District, ideas, stances, and solutions do not seem like something they will get from Craig.
“Back in April, we attempted to make things easy for Craig and her campaign by pulling together a list of questions important to Minnesotans – only one of which has been answered. So today, on the three-month anniversary of her endorsement, we once again implore Craig to be vocal as to why she thinks she deserves to represent the people of Minnesota’s Second District.

“While delegates to the DFL Convention in April may have been willing to look past Craig’s lack of substance, I am willing to bet the rest of the voters in Minnesota’s Second District will not be as forgiving. “
