Jason Lewis releases campaign ad: Met Council

“Jason Lewis has been talking about the need to reform the Met Council long before taking office, and in his first term he saw success in doing just that. Lewis took on the Met Council introducing an amendment that was added to the original FAA reauthorization bill to bring the Met Council, the only Metropolitan Planning Organization in the country without any elected representation, into compliance with federal law. Lewis sought to increase accountability and transparency simply by adding at least one elected official to the Met Council. Because of Lewis’ efforts, the Department of Transportation has now agreed to review the Met Council’s compliance with federal requirements as a response to our request.”
