Attacks on…Lawn Signs
Oct 17, 2018Eagan, MN – Jason Lewis for Congress Campaign Manager Becky Alery released the following statement:
“With all the talk from Democrat officials encouraging harassment, anger, and violence against Republican candidates, elected official and activists, it’s no surprise we are seeing these things acted upon right here in Minnesota’s Second Congressional District.
“First, it was protests on the lawn at Jason Lewis’ home.
“Then it was threats against Lewis after announcing his in-person town halls.
“It then escalated to threats against Lewis’ family.
“Just when it seemed as though Democrats in Minnesota couldn’t get any lower, they showed us they were up to the challenge.
“This week, we have the person who literally works as the spokesperson for the Minnesota DFL ‘joking’ about beheading Republicans.
“And now, we have vandalism to add to the list.
“From a group of Republican signs being spray painted in Lakeville.
“To one Lewis supporter’s sign being stolen not once, not twice, but three different times.
“Like we said last week, it is no longer the party of resistance, it’s the party of retaliation willing to do anything to gain the power they so desperately seek – even deface private property and attempt to silence voices on the right.”
